Create Dino Skin With Bubble Wrap
Practice learning about texture by giving your dinosaur some scaly skin. Cover a piece of bubble wrap with paint and press it onto your Brachiosaurus to give that prehistoric look. Or, try experimenting with new tools by wrapping the bubble wrap around a stick or paintbrush handle before dipping it in paint. See how using different tools changes the texture and compare the results.
Brachiosaurus Memory Game
Print two copies of your selected coloring page. After coloring them in, glue them onto a background paper of your choice. This can be a patterned cardstock or a piece of construction paper. Then, stack your pages and cut into cards so that each card has the same image. Now you have a fun memory game to play! This is perfect to pack in your bag to engage little ones during trips or at while waiting for your meal at restaurants.
A Short Story Storybook Page
Turn your coloring page into the first page of your very own storybook. After coloring, write a short story about your dinosaur’s adventures on a piece of lined paper and glue it to the back of your artwork. End the story there, or keep adding pages and make a whole book!
“Fossilize” Your Art
Gather objects from nature, like stones and bark. Place them under your paper, and use crayons on their sides to do rubbings over the top. This adds a cool fossil texture to your page.
